Police make arrest in Westside homicide

       Colorado Springs Police have made an arrest in the Feb. 11 death of Elaine Strecker, 47, a Colorado Springs resident. .
       The coroner ruled that Strecker died at 430 N. 28th St. as a result of “excessive bleeding due to blunt force trauma,” police said. Kenneth Orlando, 39, also a Colorado Springs resident, has been charged with second-degree assault. He was a former boyfriend of Strecker's, police said.
       In other police news, the Dairy Queen, 2131 W. Colorado Ave., was robbed at knife-point the evening of Jan. 31.
       According to a description provided to Colorado Springs Police, the suspect was a Hispanic male, late 20s, 5-foot-8, heavy, with a shaved head and wearing a black jacket and black pants. He left on foot, running west.
       It was the second armed robbery in five days on the Westside. The Jan. 26 Farm Crest robbery had two robbers, one of whom was also described as Hispanic with a black jacket and a knife.
