Ice-carving competition fetes Valentine's Day in Old Colorado City Feb. 14

       Three area chefs will compete in an Old Colorado City ice-sculpting competition Saturday, Feb. 14.
       Timed for Valentine's Day, the event will be from noon to 2 p.m. in the Old Town Plaza parking lot at Colorado Avenue and 25th Street, according to a press release from the Old Colorado City Associates (OCCA) business group.
       Starting at 11 a.m. in the plaza, live music will be performed by the Wallbaum Band.
       The public is welcome. There is no charge.
       The chefs are Julian Drummond of DARS Supply (a food supplier), Pikes Peak Community College culinary arts instructor Mark Painter and Pete Aiello of the Doubletree by Hilton. Judging the winner will be OCCA President Julie Fabrizio.
       The winner will get an overnight stay at the Old Town Guesthouse Bed & Breakfast in Old Colorado City, the release states.
