‘Life of Ruth Banning Lewis’ program at History Center Feb. 13

       A program titled “The Life of Ruth Banning Lewis” will be presented at the Old Colorado City History Center at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13.
       The guest speaker will be local historian Walter Dennis, who was born on the property. Mrs. Lewis, a Colorado Springs native, was known for her many civic activities as well as joining with her husband, Raymond, in acquiring over 30,000 acres for the prize-winning Hereford operation she ran with her husband east of town.
        The center is at 1 South 24th St. The program, free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Old Colorado City Historical Society.
