Bear Creek easement advances
A volunteer committee that's been meeting since last May on a proposed conservation easement for Bear Creek Regional Park is nearing the end of its process.
A meeting Jan. 23 revealed that the group hopes to finalize its work in the coming months, then make recommendations to the El Paso County Parks Advisory Board and provide an overview to county commissioners. Assuming there remain no significant objections, $17,500 is to be raised through a private fund drive that will pay the Palmer Land Trust's costs to prepare the necessary documents for formal county approval.
