Design Guidelines copies still available
A year after publication of the Historic Westside Design Guidelines, about 50 copies are at the Old Colorado City History Center, 1 S. 24th St.; and another 100 at
the City Administration Building downtown, the Westside Pioneer has been told.
A total of 300 were printed in early 2010, with copies given out to people who attended three presentations in the following month. Providing information for people remodeling older homes on the Westside, the 127-page, illustrated book is free. It was part of an Organization of Westside Neighbors (OWN) effort toward a historic overlay zone to preserve older houses on the Westside. OWN and the Old Colorado City Historical Society also donated funds toward the Guidelines effort. Westside Pioneer article |
