Meet a Westsider:
Gail Worm

Profession/Occupation... Quality Assurance Project Manager at the Verizon company. I oversee testing for software changes.

What I like most about the Westside is... The feeling of being in a small town inside of a big town. West-siders are a close-knit community and proud of it!

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... Clean the homes that have fallen into a state of disrepair over the years and clean up the empty lots full of junk.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “WALL•E,” with my kids. I love all the Disney/Pixar movies.

I'd like to discover... a methodology to maintain peace, order and happiness in my often hectic home!

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Tina Fey. She is an accomplished actress, comedian and writer whom I respect and admire.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... No travel plans right now, but New Mexico is likely so we can visit our friend who owns a ranch there. My husband Caleb and I would love to go back to the Florida Keys very soon, and we try to go to New Hampshire every year as family!

My favorite childhood memory is... Playing “house” in the spaces between the big lilac bushes that used to grow in my parents yard.

My favorite winter pastime is... Playing with my kids, reading and watching DVD movies as a family.

Something good I’ve read is.. “Then We Came to an End” by Joshua Ferris. It was very good and poignant for me as well having been laid off in December after 15 years at the same company. I love to read anything by Christopher Moore or Tom Robbins and I also really like the Sookie Stackhouse/southern vampire series by Charlaine Harris and the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich.

My pet peeve is... Bad customer service and rude, impatient people.

If I didn’t have to work for a year I would... Home school my kids and travel around the country and maybe the world!
