Church group 'doctors' toys for charity

A charitable effort last year at 1st Lutheran Church resulted in 185 dolls and 539 toy animals going to charity.
According to Pat Dinsmore, chair of the “doctoring” group, the items went to Lutheran Family Services for its Foster to Adopt and Refugee programs and to El Paso County Family Services to give away at Christmas.
The church is at 2385 West Platte Ave.
“We meet once a month for show and tell and to handle what has come in for the month,” Dinsmore said. “We work at our own pace and do what we enjoy.”
