Meet a Westsider:
Julianne Rist

Profession/Occupation... Branch Manager of Old Colorado City Branch Library

What I like most about the Westside is... the sense of community and pride everyone has who lives or works here.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... I like it the way it is.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... Don’t take any chances.

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Bill Gates and ask him how he plans to give away his fortune.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... Taos, New Mexico, to see the missions and southwest architecture.

My favorite childhood memory is... baking bread with my grandmother.

My favorite winter pastime is... watching the large, lacy snowflakes fall.

Something good I’ve read is... “The Magic of Ordinary Days,” by Ann Creel.

My pet peeve is... drivers that tailgate.

If I won the lottery, I’d... travel to countries around the world.

“Meet a Westsider” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776.
