'Parents Night Out' - monthly program is YMCA's first at Westside Community Center

In a first-time partnership with the Westside Community Center, the YMCA of the Pikes Peak region will begin offering a “Parents Night Out” the fourth Friday of each month.
The program in the center's Hughes Hall/gymnasium will start Friday, Jan. 23. The time frame will be 5 to 10 p.m. The cost is $18 a child. The age range is 3 to 12.
The evening will let parents “enjoy a night without the kids,” a press release states, “and the Y staff will offer a nutritious meal, fun physical activity and art projects for the children.”
Dick Siever, executive director of the Community Center, said the program emerged from discussions in the past year with YMCA officials and is the “first of many programs” that the nonprofit association - which was locally established in 1878 - will be offering at the center.
Advance registration for the Parents Night Out is requested by calling the Westside Community Center at 385-7920 x100.
