Training offered to become Bear Creek Nature Center interpretive volunteer

       Two sets of dates are coming up for anyone interested in becoming an interpretive volunteer for the Bear Creek Nature Center.
       The first is Saturday, Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon: “Volunteers play a key role in providing visitor services at Bear Creek and Fountain Creek nature centers,” a press release reads. “Come to this orientation to learn mor about volunteer opportunities and see if the nature centers are the right fit for you.”
       The second set of dates is Feb. 3-4 and 10-11, from 1 to 5 p.m. at both nature centers. “Bear Creek and Fountain Creek nature centers' four-part training prepares you to be an environmental education program leader for school field trips and nature center events,” the release states. “Become a part of a long- standing organization and legacy.”
       Reservations and a filled-out application are required to receive the training.
