'Astronaut' theme for Space Foundation Discovery Center Star Days Jan. 10

One Saturday each month the Space Foundation designates a special “Star Days” theme for its Discovery Center, with extra activities included in the daily admission price.
On Saturday, Jan. 10, the Star Days theme will be “I want to be an Astronaut,” with activities that "demonstrate the astronaut experience," a press release states. This includes the Barany Chair, a spinning ride that was invented to train student pilots.
The Discovery Center is at 4425 Arrowswest Drive off Garden of the Gods Road. The hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It also includes the Northrop Grumman Science Center and the El Pomar Space Gallery of space artifacts and interactive displays. Cost of admission is $10 for adults, with reduced prices for seniors, military, students and children.
Other offerings at the “Astronaut” Star Day:
       - "Train like an astronaut" (equipment and activities).
       - A space shuttle film.
       - Driving remote-control rovers in the Mars Robotics Laboratory.
       - Playing the Kerbal Space Program in the AGI Space Missions Simulation Laboratory.
       - Photographing yourself as an astronaut.
