Weather forces cancellation of Civil War reenactor's program at History Center

A scheduled Old Colorado City History Center program by a Civil reenactor was canceled by snowy and icy weather Jan. 9.
Betty Baker, co-president of the Old Colorado City Historical Society (OCCHS), the volunteer group that owns and operates the center, said that the decision was made necessary when the reenactor, Benny Nasser, told the OCCHS he could not make it.
It has not yet been announced if Nasser's “First Person Portrayal of a Civil War Soldier” will be rescheduled.
For more information, call the center at 636-1225 or go to the center at 1 S. 24th St. (now with winter hours: Tuesday-Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
