In memoriam: Jerry Szymanski, veteran, business owner, service-club volunteer

       Services for the late Jerry Szymanski, a retired Colorado Springs business owner and long-time service club volunteer, will be Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 701 N. 20th St.
       Following the church service, a Masonic graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, 1000 S. 26th St.
       The services will be preceded by a visitation period Tuesday, Jan. 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Ave.
       Syzmanski died Dec. 26 at age 65.
       He was a U.S. Army veteran, former president of the Westside-headquartered Colorado Springs Shrine Club and a member of Colorado Springs Masonic Lodge #76 and the Al Kaly Shrine. He ran Jerry's Plumbing and Heating from 1995 through 2013.
       Syzmanski is survived by his wife Karol Szymanski, his daughter Ann, son Brian, brother Tom and three grandchildren.
